We make your challenges ours – in all areas of the development and engineering.
The result: absolute top performance, quality and execution.
We ensure that no information is lost between the individual departments. The results from the FEM calculation are immediately considered and implemented in the respective design module.
The outcome is a perfect collaboration between design and FEM.
The highest professional expertise, perfect know-how, reliability, deadlines met and absolute precision down to the last detail – that is what distinguishes us at M.L.S. Engineering.
No matter how big or how small a job you have for us – it is in good hands at M.L.S.E.

Markus Scholten, Owner of M.L.S.E, grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and graduated from the John Orr Technical College with a degree in Civil Engineer and Building construction. Even though his dream profession was to be a professional cyclist first and an Architect second, he's father (owner of a sheet-metal production company) wanted him to be a mechanical engineer. Markus has always had a passion for cars and started working on and restoring cars at the age of 14. His first project was a 1964 Type 1 VW Crew-Cab that he bought with money he won through cycling. Markus, a very ambitious cyclist in his youth and at age 20 Markus signed with a pro cycling team in Germany and the future as a professional looked bright! Unfortunately, the European pro cycling career was short lived as a serious accident force Markus to rethink his life and future.
Already in Germany and the passion for cars still very much alive, Markus was able to secure an apprenticeship spot rarely given to outsiders and never to foreigners at Wilhelm Karmann GmbH, creators of the famous Karmann Ghia. Their program was considered one of the very best in Germany. Graduating top 10 of Niedersachsen (a state in the Northern part of Germany) Markus was hired into Karmann's prototype shop as a 1st Class sheet metal body builder. With a stable income and a great job Markus continued cycling as a semi-pro. Building prototype car from hand out of a flat piece of sheet-metal was an exciting and very rewarding job. But eager to make it to the next level Markus participated in every technical training program he's job offered, achieving certifications in Project management, communication in crisis, and welding to name just a few. Markus made the moved from the shop to the office and was promoted to designer and module lead.
Markus further expanded his career by attending an evening college to study Mechanical Engineering focusing on sheet-metal, structures and automotive development.
Markus has worked in every segment of the automotive industry researching, developing, and building concept show cars, prototypes, test and evaluation vehicles all the way to mass production assembly lines and vehicles.
